    Default 10 Foot Run question

I may have the opportunity to pick up a Perlick glycol chiller for really cheap through a place that went out of business. I really don't have an immediate use for it, but if I get room for an extra keg at some point, I thought it would be awesome to run a tap out to my deck. My question is would a 10-15 foot run of a trunk line be too long for straight CO2, or would I need a mixer system. The run would be all inside except for maybe a foot or two. Thanks for any input, ACE

100% CO2 should be fine up to about 50' with no substantial lift. This is providing that you can manage your temperature 24/7 at the keg and all of the way to the faucet. Your glycol chiller most certainly will take care of you from your keg cooler to the faucet.

Keep posting and we'll give you tips as to how to build this system. Also, if you are going invest your time in accomplishing this project, why not set it up for three faucets - providing you have the room for the kegs.

Thanks for the info...I figured it would be ok, but wanted to ask the experts...I'm sure I will be needing more advice and some parts and stuff along the way...My plan is to get a 3 keg system running (only have a single now)...2 in the bar and 1 run to the deck with the glycol chiller...the bar will be direct with air towers, so should have no problems there. Just need to figure out how the get the beer line out of the cooler to the glycol unit, but I need to get it first. I think if I promise a keg of strongbow on tap, the wife will look the other way haha. Thanks again!
