Default Kegerator that I just built

I bought a beat up freezer off of ebay for $20 to convert into a kegerator. Not wanting to spend a lot of money, i had some extra lumber at the house and started framing it up.

I had it framed and painted within two days.

Another couple of days to apply the two coats of epoxy (bar top) and a day later I installed an old tower that I had laying around.

Ordered a regulator and some tubing and I'll be in business.....

Geaux Tigers!

Nice job. Not bad at all.

The epoxy you used is called Bar Top? Is that the clear coating you usually see on top of bars? Can you find that at Home Depot/Lowe's?

No, the epoxy that I used is not called Bar Top. I bought it in the stain section @ Home Depot. I can't remember what the product was called or I would post it.

It comes in a box, is a two part solution that you mix together and simply pour on the top.

Default Epoxy Coating

I bought a similar coating for my bar top. I bought it at Lowe's, it's called Famowood Glaze Coating. It's a two part epoxy coating, that you pour on. I haven't used it yet, I'll most likely get to it in the next couple of days though.

Probably the same stuff.

Make sure that you stir it, do not shake it. If you shake it bubbles will form and it will take forever to get them out.

When you pour the epoxy on, bubbles will appear but you can use a hair dryer to blow them out...very easy.

Very nice, I can't tell what you did, did you buy a used/old deep freezer and then build some sort of framing around it? Do you have a detailed plan of what you did?

It was a used chest freezer that i found on ebay for twenty bucks. I did not document my plans...but my setup is very similiar to this build:
the haraldsons » Build your own bar with kegerator

Pretty much the only difference is i painted mine with a high gloss, and this guy stained his. It was very easy to do, and i had it completed in about 24 hours.
