Newbie question regarding beer flow
alright... i'm a kegerator newbie. i've had mine installed now for a month and have gone through two extra nice torpedo's and am on my fourth. i'm really happy to have draft beer at home and vow never to buy bottled beer for my home consumption again (my being the operative word... must buy various bottled brands to appease guests).
anyway, i have a problem... my current keg is blue moon and it is so d*mn frothy that i will never buy another. i've read some posts here and people seem to suggest that a longer line will solve this extra head issue. well, i don't want to buy anything more or fiddle with the hardware. i just want to keep the temp/psi where it is and get good pours. my kegerator is about 37 degrees or so. and my psi is set to 14.
i have had sweetwater 420, flying dog in heat wheat, and now this extra frothy blue moon cr*p. the first two kegs required that i waste just a tad before accepting the nectar from the tap and getting a mouth watering glass full. now this blue moon stuff requires a big heap full is wasted, and even then what ends up in the glass is a huge head.
i know i know, i'm complaining like a little girl... my question though is "WTF?"
let me know any comments, in general. thx. tom
