Default To drain or not to drain.......

I am looking into installing a tray with drain in my system. What are the pros and cons? Do you have one installed and what do you like and not like? Seems like a good idea, except for the price. The nice s/s cutouts are pretty expensive.

Thanks!!

You shouldn't waste your money on it. It's not hard to take the tray off and clean it out. Unless you are so drunk that you keep missing your glass, then it may be worth it.

It is not very difficult to convert a regular drip tray into one with a drain. All you do is drill a hole a little bigger then a peice of 1/4" line in the drip tray drill the same size hole in the kegerator and run the line threw glew it at the top, put a bucket in the kegerator and you have a drip tray with a drain.

I think a drain is totally unnecessary.
The few drips that hit my drip tray dry up.
If you have enough beer in your tray to require a drain you're wasting too much beer and need to work on your aim/pouring skills.
