1/4 Kegs
I am thinking that I will look into putting two quarter kegs into the old kegerator in the near future. Before ordering everything, have any of you guys done this, and if so, any problems with fitting two quarters in the standard kegerator (that is, the size made to hold 1/2 barrels)?

Most say they will fit 2 "slim 1/4rs", not sure how available those are so will need to check into it. Also not sure how available sixtels are so will look into that. Thanks for the input though.

you might be able to put one 1/4 barrel on top of the other. a friend of mine is doing a conversion on a fridge and has the room to do this. I told him to put a piece of plywood between both kegs to stabilize both barrels. He wants to run a certain beer then when that blows, connect the other without running to the store. with a kegerator tho, I would do some serious measuring

Well, stacking might work if I were to offset the kegs, at least, that was my initial thought (although not much thought went into the idea, I must say). Measuring will be required, to be sure.

BigStein,
Don't know if you have seen these, but they are made for exactly what you have in mind. Allows you to stack 2 kegs and tap them both.

Hope this helps you out.

That looks like it would do the job but I am guessing that I don't have the room to stack two 1/4 rs with that much space between them. I gotta find some exact measurements on 1/4 barrels and see if they would fit in my fridge first I guess. Thanks for all the info. guys.

They do make a low profile tap, so that the beer and gas lines come out the side and not the top of the tap.
