Beer Line

I just purchased a Haier brewmaster, and after reading about all the mods I figured I should add a longer line right from the get go as it needs to be assembled out of the box. Is this something i can get locally, chicagoland area or do I need to order it online. Thanks in advance for the help.

Basically its just vinyl tubing, you can get 3/16" ID tubing at any hardware store. If you want to ensure you're getting the proper grade then you can buy it by the foot from micromatic, still really cheap.

Thanks for the reply, I am hoping to have it up and running for a BBQ Saturday so i guess I'll get something from home depot for the first keg then upgrade after as it only came with about 3 feet.

Get your beer line from a beer distributor or Micro Matic. Hardware store line does not have the same wall thickness (1/8'') as beer line and the restriction will be different. Tapman

The Home Depot by me has the exact same line as a distributor. 1/8" walled FDA beverage rated 3/16" ID vinyl tubing. While you're guranteed to get the right stuff from a distributor it is available elsewhere.

Not all extruders understand how we draft beer connoisseurs like to enjoy our brews without a plastic taste. Even though the label claims that it is FDA approved, you would be amazed at how many of these products fail the brewers' qualification tests.

So did the new hose eliminate the plastic taste? I've read two other options posted that give recommendations of how to eliminate the plastic taste, but no responses that confirm what works.
