Default BM23 Club Top Tower Size/Replacement

I just purchased a Beverage Air Club top (BM23C) off ebay. It's been shipped but I don't have it yet for measurements. The tower is offset to one side. I want to change out the tower to a two faucet tower but am getting conflicting reports on the tower size. I went to order a shotgun tower and was told the club top only fits a 2 1/2" tower. Does anybody have this model and can you tell me if I can fit a 3" tower on it? Can I modify it to fit? It's a christmas gift and I want to order the tower soon so I can have everything put together and beer flowing by Christmas-eve.

This unit does not have a three inch column. Closer to 2-1/2". This column would be difficult to convert to two shanks. Possibly, you could try to adapt a three inch column to the BM23C. You would have to determine if the flange would interfere with the slider top. You might have to perform some field customization.
