Default swaping out kegs

Ok newbie question. Can I swap out a keg that has been half way used put on something else and then a week later go back to the original keg? My wife and I love IPA's the rest of my family loves Bud light. We're having a party and I wanted to get some cheep beer for it, but dont want to skunk up my good keg if it's off presurization for a few days. I will keep it in the spare fridge.

Keep it cold and don't release the pressure on the keg when you uncouple it and you will be fine.

I hate to be the jerk here, but is it that difficult to search for topics? This same thing was broached about 2 weeks ago....
