Default Noise level of True kegerator

I am looking to buy a new True Kegerator/Beverage center (TDB 24-48g) and was wondering if anyone have any experience with these coolers? It will be placed in our basement wetbar. We will be entertaining and playing games in this area (pool, cards, etc). Are these commercial kegerators too loud for home use? Have any of you tried these at home?
Thanks

I haven't been around that exact model but commercial kegerators aren't as loud as you think. Most of the noise is from the condenser fan, which is only going to run when the compressor is running.

It will be similar to but quieter than a microwave to give you an idea. Might be a problem if you were sleeping in the same room but will not be an issue otherwise.

yes, noisy. The noise is different but the loudness is similar to running a microwave.
About every 25 minutes, it comes on and runs for a couple minutes. The hubby's is in the kitchen. We have not yet integrated it into the cabinetry and that will curtail some noise (gable on one end and dishwasher on the other side). Also, when we put in kickplates that will also stop additional noise from filtering out from the bottom front.

Not too bad, dont find it annoying or anyting like that. Besides, the big smiles are worth it.
