Default Danby Tower Shank
Hey guys,

I am replacing my fa'ctory Danby tower shank with a MM Stainless model. How do I go about accessing the backside of that shank? Can I pop the chrome cap off the top of the tower? Or do i have to go at it from the bottom?

Just thought I'd ask before I go and put a gouge, dent or scuff into anything; as I normally would if I dont understand something.

EDIT: Is there a reason for the word "f a c t o r y" being censored?

The top should pop off fairly easily and if you are careful there shouldn't be any damage.

yep. Chrome cap pops off pretty easily just by prying with fingernails.

One of MM's competitors has f a c t o r y in it's name.....

Thanks guys, popped off using just my fingernails. Now that fa'ctory Danby shank nut on the other hand... what a pain in the arse! Got it with some time and patience though.
