Default pos avanti not so bad any more...thanks

I have my system working pretty good now (thanks to all you guys). Not perfect but close...until the most recent keg (bud lt).
I can go into the specifics of my set-up if you want, but I followed everyones advice and it has been working great for at least a dozen kegs. Beer temp is 37f, Co2 pressure is 12-13 psi and I clean it every two to three weeks.
The only clue I have is that it seemed to be difficult to tap. Meaning I tapped it and beer was slowly leaking from the base of the tap. I removed the tap, wiped it out and reinstalled and it stopped leaking.
Don't get me wrong, it is still 50% better than the Avanti was when stock, but I had it pouring like a champ. QUESTION: Could I have just gotten a barrel that is more prone to foam??

Thanks everyone for all of your help.
