Default Mini fridge with freezer for kegerator

Has anyone successfully used a mini fridge with freezer for a tower mounted kegerator?
I am trying to build one on the cheap and all i can seem to find on craigslist are those with small freezers.
Thanks
Cliff

Most mini fridges will not work due to the compressor at the bottom.

See this thread: Finding the right refrigerator...

I haven’t seen one. One of the problems you will run into is most mini fridges are cooled via the freezer of the fridge. At the Keg height of 23” you will find it hard to keep the freezer intact and be able to fit a keg.

Maybe someone else can chime in with some fridge brand/part # recommendations that might work for you and prove me wrong.
