Default Keg Purchase

Hello all, does anyone in the Houston area know of any good places to purchase a keg. I only have a 7.2Cu chest freezer, so I can only fit two 1/4 barrels. I need to have one 1/4 slim, and the other can be a 1/4 pony. The only two places that I know of are beveragebarn.net and specsonline.com

Does anyone have any other places they know of?? Thanks in advance

(BTW, this forum ROCKS. . . . )

If you're on the North side, Joe Blow's has a pretty good selection, and I've seen a few 1/4's in there as well. He's on Steubner-Airline, just North of 1960. I think it would be great if this forum had city-by-city keg-buying experiences!

I found that the Specs on Fry rd at Clay has kegs for folks on the West side of town. The Beverage Barn has a good selection. They are on Richmond near Gessner. They also carry cleaning supplies and taps......

Have you had a problem getting 1/4 slims at beverage barn? I asked specs on HWY 6, they said they could get them but it'll take a couple of weeks. (that was 4 weeks ago)

I only called the Bev Barn about 1/2 barrel kegs. They are out of the way for me so I went to Fry rd Specs and picked up a 15.5 gal keg. When I got home I found the I need a D style tap. Mine has "Coors" on the lever but is a U style judging by the pics I saw here. I ordered a D type from Beverage Equipment Supply in Houston. I am still drinking cans and bottles, cant wait to get the kegerator operational. With some luck, this weekend.
