Do I drink too much???
Seriously...I really don't know.
So I haven't made all the mods to the Danby yet, so I know a bunch is wasted in foam, but I feel my kegs run out too fast.
First 1/2 barrel of Heineken...novelty, drank a lot, had a few people over. Gone in 1 month.
2nd 1/4 barrel of Fat Tire...No parties, drank less than before. Gone in 1 month.
I know it is still more economical than bottles (especially since I save a ton buying on the military base), but still seems to go fast.
What are your averages?

My first keg was a 5gal Blue Moon. Lots of Foam issues.
Second was a 15.5 Coors Light.
I am on my second CL.
I bought my Blue Moon on 12/31/07.
No, you are just fine.

19 days
My half barrels last 14-19 days. No, I don't live in a frat house. Got the kegorator in November and have tried Sam Adams, Yuengling, Bud Select, Bass Ale, Bud Select, Yuengling, and Bud Select.
The Kegorator keeps the dreaded airbag from going off. Now I wish she'd just stay out of the garage.
I really do cool my tower with beer.

I opted for no. I believe I'm a responsible drinker. We had a conversation about this at work a while back and I couldn't recall a time that I ever had intentions of getting hammered. Not that I haven't drank too much... It just really isn't anything that I set out to do.

That's funny. Asking a bunch of drunks if you're a drunk I voted no simply because that's how long a 1/2 b lasts in my one drinker house hold

I have noticed if I plan to get drunk, it doesn't happen. The best (or worst) drunk comes when, surprise, I am least expecting it. Tapman

full keg lasts 3-4 weeks in my house. I drink probably 70 percent of it, my wife and the occasional visitor, 30 percent.

Before I bought my kegerator I didn't give much thought to keg size. Since I'm pretty much the sole drinker in my house (wife may have 1 or 2 a week) I thought a pony keg would last me quite a while and I have no need for 1/2 kegs. My kegerator only holds pony & 1/6 and I was quite dissapointed in my first pony only lasted 3 weeks. For some reason I thought a pony keg would last over a month or even 2. Anyway, I was thinking the same thing. Am I just drinking too much? But then I quickly dismissed that notion as I look at this as more like a hobby where you can drink the benefits.

I go threw a 1/2 barrel a month. Just something to keep in mind if you think you drink to much:

Do I drink to much??
I found myself asking the same question. Granted I do have a Guinness tattoo going acroos my stomach. I go through a 1/2 barrell once a month with minimal foam. I do have some guys over, but not very often because they tend to drink to much of my beer and not theirs. I did add the 33k ohm to my Danby which has made a world of differance. I plan on doing the Guinness coversion here in the next couple of weeks. That in itself is going to cost about 350.00, but well worth it. It almost makes more sense to do if you enjoy stouts and don't want to spend all the money on the other temp modification. Stouts are meant to be drank at higher temp.

Beer Forum (For Beer Nuts)
This has got to be the best question yet. I think everyone that reads these post are mostly Beer Nuts, I enjoy my beer everyday and read through most of the post daily. On average I usually go through a 1/2 keg about every 19 - 24 days, some say thats alot of beer, but I get some help from my Wife... She is my best friend and bought me the Danby for fathers day. If we have some friends over for a visit, that help with the quick turn arounds. But you got this great setup why not enjoy it. The best way that I have found to prevent lots of foam is to keep the beer a little colder than what everyone is recommending. I have found that between 34 -36 F works best for me. Enjoy!

If it makes anyone feel any better i don't consider myself to have a drinking problem but me and my roomate go thru a keg in about a week max. Granted i have a few friends over but i'd say the 2 of us are drinking at least half the beer in there. We go thru kegs in a night easily if we have friends over. We are in college so there is always plenty of people at my place to help out.

One could deduce that you are in a Fraternity. Would that be "Tappa Kegga Day"?

I notice that I check the temp in the morning with a beer or two, Kids off to school wife at work. I have off four days every four days. Scary. Maby since the kegerator in the house is new to me, I'm just overdoing it too much. LOL. I told the wife that it would save me money over cases of beer. I forgot to mention that I might drink more with cold draught on tap. Drink up.
Steven O
PS. I don't think anyone drinks too much. I see it as one big beer kept cold.

Well I feel stupid. I was ordering 1/4 barrels of Fat Tire and today I realized they gave me a 1/6 barrel. I thought I had a slim 1/4... I guess the distributor stopped carrying the 1/4 barrel and subs the 1/6. They should tell me that! I guess I will just get 1/2 barrel next time as I drink it anyway....

Not Normal
My last Keg, Sam Adams, lasted 30 days. It didn't behave very well, and I found myself bringing home the old 18 pack.
