Default upgrading tower on kenmore kegerator

I just bought an old, used kenmore from a friend - cools great and the homebrew I have in there right now (dispensed from a party tap, at present) tastes absolutely wonderful. However, I would like to upgrade the single tap tower (2 1/2 inches) to a 3-tap. Any advice on this? There are two tap towers on mm's site for a 2 1/2 base, but the only 3 tap towers are for a 3 or 4 in. base. Am tempted to simply jerry-rig or build something, but I'm afraid that will look like crap. Can I install a 3 or 4" tower on a 2 1/2 hole?

Default Drill it out

I have a kenmore kegerator myself and i recently added a 2 tap 3" tower on it. I ended up drilling a 2 3/8" hole over the existing hole and into the unit and putting a piece of 2" I.D. PVC pipe down in the hole. I Calked this in on both sides and than placed the 3" tower over the top of that. If you can slip both product lines down the current hole than it should work but you will get next to no cold air in the tower which will lead to a great deal of foaming with your beer. I hardly get any more foam on my first pour than usual with my opened up air way and i expect that to be solved as soon as i install a blower in the system. It's not a difficult install overall though so you should be able to do it with minimal time away from drinking

I am going to do this as well to my Kenmore. How did you split your co2? I just got back from home**** and bought the wrong fitting. The barbed conector in the valve has an oring and finer threads than my 1/4" tee that I bought. What is the best/easiest way to do this? I will have my corny kegs with 1/4" barbed fittings as well as the sankey for the "regular" beers. Maybe I should just get another CO2 bottle for carbonating and dispensing my home brews? One last thing, can I add a faucet to my current tower or should I just get a dual tower?
I hope I am not thread jacking here.

Thumbs up

Sorry for the delayed response. I rehabbed an older Kenmore, but I didn't use a split tower. Here's the link, with pics hope this helps!
