Default CO2 Canister

Just purchased a Danby kegerator only to discover the C02 canister is mounted on the back of the unit. Assuming there is room to stand the canister upright, is it ok to keep the canister inside with the keg? Will the regulator be ok or does the regulator need to stay at room temperature? Thanks.

You can mount it inside, I think it should fit. I don't know 1st hand, but have read that you will use the CO2 at a faster rate, since it is colder, thus denser. Almost every home build/conversion kegerator I've seen has the CO2 mounted inside the box.

Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery
and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might
be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself,
"It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than
be selfish and worry about my liver."

The outside is fine and leaves more room for beer inside.

but if he wants to build the danby into a bar, there may not be enough rear cabinet space to mount it outside. This would be the one reason I would see for not wanting it mounted outside. Or even if he wants it in a kitchen or living room... mounted outside forces you to keep it further away from the wall.... makes it stick out too much possibly.
