Default New MM Faucett doesnt fit Danby

Anyone have issues with Micromatic faucets not fitting Danby towers?. I bought the SS gold model and it will not screw onto the tower. I dont want to force it. The stock Danby used screws right in. looking indo the beer side of the faucett the MM looks a little bigger like it wont fit or seat into the tower properly.

This is sad as i was hoping to upgrade to this all SS model. Now I may have to replace the tower to use the new faucett.

There were issues at one time of Danby not using standard faucets and instead something from China that caused this problem. I thought that they had corrected this but apparently not in your case. You could perhaps replace the shank rather than the whole tower and thus use your new faucet.
