Default Tower and faucet problem

So I just got my MM dual faucet tower in yesterday. I got it installed on the top of my Haier with no problems until I went to put my faucets on. I have 2 Perlick SS faucets. One of them has been in use on my original 2.5" Haier tower for months. Now, both of them won't fit on the new MM tower. Both of the faucets that came with the new tower fit OK, and the original Haier faucet (which I believe is a Draught Tech item) fits on the new MM tower. What gives? They feel tight when trying to push them on. The shank threads fit and start to turn, but you can't pull them in all the way to make a seal. I'm getting aggrivated. I like my Perlicks. I don't want to have to downgrade. Any ideas?

Default Fixed

So last night I fixed my problem, but I have no idea how I did it. I monkeyed around with everything for a while, and finally got no air leaking. I really had to crank down on the shanks. I took the tower off the top of the unit and had it in my lap. I was gripping the facet with all my strength to keep the whole shank from turning in the tower when I was wrenching on it. Maybe the fit was so tight that after putting them on and tightening each one down 10 or more times that they finally loosened up? Nobody's had this problem?

Oh well. All I know now is I'm pouring Sam Winter and homebrew, and I'm happy.
