Default 2 issues- mystery rubber gasket and cleaning kit problem

I recently did a fridge conversion using this kit:
http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...pid-RK-1S.html

I also purchased the cleaning kit, the smaller one:
http://www.micromatic.com/draft-keg-...d-CK-1100.html

Problems:
I have a flat rubber washer that ended up in the cleaning bucket, I dont remember seeing it prior. I definitely put the one back in between the beer line and the coupler. Is there anywhere else there would be a gasket like this? Maybe the size of a quarter or so, shows no impressions from being sealed previously? Maybe I need it to solve the problem with the cleaning kit below....

When I connect the cleaning kit at the tap, cleaning fluid is dripping out at the connection. Is it possible I need to use the mystery rubber washer from above to put in between to seal it up? Is it supposed to seal? I also recieved a jar of clean flo with no scoop, apparently 1/2 oz is equal to 1 tablespoon? Is that the correct measurement?

I am not sure about the measurement but yes, that washer goes between the shank and the connector from the cleaning kit. When this is in place it will seal up nice. It can be pressed in to the brass end of the hose on the cleaning bottle and will kind of stay there. Just stay alert and keep track of it in case it falls out.
