Default Danby issues

I've read a bunch of chat room conversations regarding issues with Danby kegerators, mostly surrounding the inability to control temperature. But I have a unique problem that I can't seem to find an answer on and was hoping to post it here for help. A couple weeks ago the digital display was freaking out by making all kinds of noises while the display was toggling back and forth between the farenheight and celcuis reading. This went away after holding down the keys as if it were reseting. After several iterations, the problem finally went away. I was doing some electrical work to the house I turned the breaker on and off several times, so I thought maybe the controls were sensitive. Anyway, weeks after this incident I went downstairs for a homebrew out of the kegerator and the display read 34 degrees. We all know it is not suppose to go below 36 per the settings. I opened the door and I my cornelious keg was frozen along with 6 cans of Strohs frozen like bricks. Mind you the setting was 40 degrees prior to and nobody messed with it. What the ......? I had homebrew freeze in my cornelious kegs before in my old kegerator I left with my old house, but that was cheaper manual setting and not a fancy display. Any thoughts? sorry about the long story.

The Danby display just looks fancy. Being digital doesn't make it a whizbang setup. If it is too late to return your unit, consider converting it to another controller.

Default question

I bought this unit from Craigslist so returning it is not an option. I need to repair the unit somehow. It's working fine now for some reason but I seriously doubt that the issues I had were a fluke. I just got off the phone with Danby service and recommended replacing the touch pad ($6.75) and that liquid got in the pad somehow and shorted the wiring. This is not a robust design to have it not sealed less than a foot away from the tap, but it is what it is. I will replace it and seal it somehow. Thank you for the reply.

I also asked him where I could drill another hole for a second CO2 line and he really didn't have a good answer. Does anyone know?
