Default Haier issue - Tempurature Fluctuation

Hello

I was wondering if anyone had any advice with the issue I am having. First off, I've had my Haier for about a month now. When I first got it home, I couldn't get it below 40 deg. I did the thermostat control trick and I was successful in getting the temp down.

Heres the issue im having now..

The temperature consistantly goes UP to 40 degrees, no matter what setting its at. So, lets say, it will go down to 28 deg, then go up to 40 deg, then cycle again. At this range, it will pour a 38 degree beer. I have a remote thermometer in there that keeps track of highs and lows so it makes it easy to drive myself crazy lol.

Now, it seems after it has been running a while, it starts dropping the minimum temperature. This morning I woke up and it had a min of 15 deg. Its been getting slightly colder over the last few days.

What can be causing this? Could it be because the keg is getting emptier, and there is less to chill internally? Or is it just the funky thermostat?

Also, I have a pc fan installed in there which blows right at the back plate.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for replying

Just wanted to post that I have stabilized the temperature. My problem was that I was blowing from front to back. I repositioned the fan to point upwards from the bottom and my temperature has been between 34-37 degrees for a few weeks.

Now we all know. I would not of thought that a fan blowing right at the back plate would have caused this. If it started acting up after putting the fan in would be a pretty good clue.

wepham did you change the thermostate or just add the fan? How did you power it? I am debating on what to do to get my unit colder. I can't seem to get it below 42-45 degrees. Also, I have the digital readout. Can the manual adjustment be done internally with this? Where is the setscrew? Thanks in Advance...
