Default Berverage Air Club Top (BM23C) repair parts

Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking around the site trying to learn what I can about kegerators and was ready to buy a new BM23 but found a used BM23C off of Ebay. I'm hoping that the savings that I got from buying used doesn't bit me in the end. I haven't picked it up yet, but I hoping to learn what some typical problems these models have. My father in-law has the BM23SS that he's had for 30+ years and swears by the reliabilty.

So my question is this: Where can a person find repair parts for their Beverage Aires? The Beverage Aire website didn't seem to lend itself to the home-user- although I didn't call their customer service line. I've had little success finding a place that lists repair parts on the web- although I did find one on the web but doesn't list parts carried fir the BM23. Maybe my querries on Google and Yahoo aren't defined well enough (?)

I am thinking that my BM23C may need a new door seal, and sliding lid seals and possibley a new t-stat. Of course, this is all a guess at this point- the seller has said that the only thing that may be needed is to change out the beer lines.

The seller also said that it gets to about ~38 degrees when set on 7 (for the adjustable t-stat). Does that sound right? I know how cold the in-laws BM23gets and it's pretty darn cold - just not sure about the BM23C. The seller didn't state how old the kegerator was- it's the fake wood grain if that means anything.

My real concern is for the compresser, fans, and T-stat- everything else it seems as though I can get from micro-matic.

Oh- I haven't been able to call around to various places just yet because I'm still serving over here in Kuwait for another couple of months- this is a small gift from the wife so when I get back I can enjoy some good beer that I have been missing!

Thank you all in advance for all the insight and for having a great forum!

Hi,
I just picked up a used Beverage Air DD58 myself. It think you will be extremely pleased.

I went to their web site, as you did and found it lacking.

But, I did find a section that listed local firms for service and parts in my area.
I called one and they confirmed they can get me parts or come out and service my unit. Fortunately, I have not needed to do anything but plug it in and tap a keg

Follow this link and go to your state. You should be able to find someone in your area.

Default Parts manual for DD/BB/BM/GF/MS

Thanks Beaker! I appreciate the help!

I've called a couple places off the tech page already- they get a little surprised when I say they can't really call me back- Nonetheless, I dug a little deeper and found this link http://www.centuryhk.com/catalogue/c...r-BB-58S-p.pdf This is a parts manual to the various Bev Airs out there- it shows the component parts via exploded diagram and corresponding part number. A pretty good link - I think- of course current owners probably already know all about this - so my apologies if this has been covered/beaten to the ground!

I then found this link on the Bev Air FAQ website-
http://www.beverage-air.com/pdfspecs...09-17-2007.pdf (if my links don't work, it's because I'm not good at posting links) But the good part about the Beverage-Air site is it shows all the prices to the corresponding part number. I'm hoping these are retail prices, but I found a lot of the parts listed on the Bev-Air site do not specify what model they are good for- now that a parts manual is readily available (I’m sure it’s been readily available – I just didn’t know about it!), a person has almost everything they need to get just about any part- short of a supplier. I have found a few parts that aren't listed on the price catalog site (i.e. the wire shelf to the BM23C) I think that's due to it being the 2007 manual - maybe they aren't carrying some of them- then it's a matter of finding a supplier that still has them in stock.

So at the end of all this- I haven't found a supplier near me as of yet, but after making a few calls I realized that finding a supplier may not be so hard after all. After finding these two resources and being somewhat handy, I think I should be able to take on a lot that might go wrong with my BM23C- at least if I can't, I'll know what I could be looking at for a repair bill and I won’t be so by the repair bill!

Thanks to all and I hope somebody else can find this info useful!

i found a supplier for parts in MN- they have to order them- I did order, but have not heard back yet

its Yes Mfg. in st paul, mn

their price was similar except the temp control was much higher than listed on BA site

I did not have to pay up front, so now i wait. They also said they would send them one they arrived.

If i recall the "c" model is the club model with the opening top and side mount tower- othr than that it looks like 99% of the parts are the same...

Default MFG Name in MN

Cleatus -

what the name fo teh MFG in mn? I thought partstown.com was going to be able to come through with the cap that goes to the tower (part # 406-052) but it appears the part cannot be gotten from Bev Air.

Since the club model is a 2.5 inch tower- maybe I'll need to go to an aftermarket retailer. I'll try to google under what you posted previously to see what luck I get- thanks

Not sure if I can say or not- but partstown.com was great to deal with, almost as good as micro-matic - but parttown.com seems to be a wholesaler- MODS, if I cannot say this- please remove- thanks!
