Default slime quarter?

I have been contemplating a new home kegerator but after looking at prices/reviews I'm thinking now of adding a tap to an existing, old fridge in my garage instead. It's there, it's already running, and it's never more that 1/2 full (and most of that 1/2 is bottled beer!).

A "slim quarter" will sit on the floor of the unit but a reg quarter would need to be lifted up quite a bit due to the contour of the bottom (hump at rear). How common are these "slim quarters"? Is there any place I can see what brands I can get in 1/6 keg or slim quarters?

Also, how hard of a job is the conversion, really? It seems relatively easy but...

Thanks!

Call your local distributors to find out what is available in slim quarters. It is a crap shoot right now. I like the package though, I hope to see more. I converted a fridge as well and had to deal with the hump issue on the bottom. I simply cut a piece a 1/2 plywood to fit in the fridge and used the hump to support the back and 2x4 scraps cut to fit the front and made a stand. I suppose if you needed the room you could even take this in and out as needed.
