Default OK, check this out

Here it goes. First off GREAT SITE. I am a rookie in this field. I have a couple of quick questions. I was looking at the Tap & Serve 1/4 Barrel Kegerator and it appears to be a great unit. I will need my kegarator to fit the sixth barrel and the quarter barrel since my beers of choice are in these barrels.

Here is the question that I have. I was looking at sears and found a perfect freezer chest for 161.49 and then looked at the conversion kits and found with premium kit. Once I added the shipping CO2 and upgraded digital temp controller I was at a total of $468.75, and a grand total of 630.24. Compared to the tap and serve at a grand total of 550.00. I am finishing my basement and will be putting in a full bar. The unit that I get will be located under the counter and the tower will be located on top of the bar.. I know that I can accomplish this with the conversion kit but didn't know if this would work on the tap and serve.

Price is close so I really don't know what direction to go. Also, is there a cheaper conversion kit available to possibly reduce the conversion kit?.

Any help would be great.

If you've read enough of the previous posts in here about about your very question you'll find the majority will vote for the conversion.

I vote conversion but just remember that you will have to lift the kegs up into the freezer.
