Default Turbo Tap

Hello,

Was looking around on the micromatic site and came across the turbo tap. Was wondering if anyone knew if or how you could purchase just the peice that connects to the tower. I already have the tower and would just want to get the longer neck piece or whatever you would call it.

Thanks,

Mark

Default Also interested in Turbo Tap - not the kit

I'm also interested in buying one or more Turbo Tap units. I find it absurd that the "TurboTap Keg Beer Tap" is only sold as part of a kit, with the disclaimer "Our apologies, the TurboTap diverter is not available for retail sales as an individual item. This is because the TurboTap diverter needs to be used with equipment specifically configured for it to pour properly. So the TurboTap is only offered to home users in pre-configured kits to ensure all the components are the correct specifications allowing the TurboTap to dispense properly."

I'm a fairly intelligent guy. I don't like the implication that I'm too stupid to figure out how to use a slip-over tube with two o-rings, and I understand it will affect pour clearances. I say offer the product (the actual pour tube only) and provide it with a "buyer-beware" statement. I have all the faucets, shanks, temperature probes, hose, etc. that I need....I don't need to spend extra money on any more. Micromatic is losing out on potential mutliple sales by only bundling this product with a lot of stuff the average user doesn't need. Seems like a poor marketing strategy to me.

Default save your $$

I purchased a turbo tap and installed the taller tower that it came with. I had issues with keeping my shorter tower cooled and now have a harder time keeping the taller tower cooled. This only resulted in more foamy beer and not less. After some tweaking I now have a cooler, tall tower but I haven't been using the turbo tap. Also the beer touches the turbo tap as it is filling up the glass and this turbo tap needs to stay clean always or else you get a dirty tap touching the beer. I am a home user and now just pour beer from a taller tower without the turbo tap. I do like the taller tower since now my larger pitchers clear the faucet without having to tip it but it wasn't worth the $$.

A lot of money and hassle just to save 2-3 seconds pouring a glass of beer. Tapman
