Default Commercial Kegerators

After reading many threads about the problems with the lower cost kegerators (Dandy and others) I am wondering if anyone is using the more expensive commercial kegerators. If so which brand and have you had any problems with them. Lower cost I mean around the $600 range.

Default Noisey

I had a Beveridge-Air BM23 for several years. It did it's job well, but my wife made me move it to the garage. It was very lowd when the compressor would start up.

I also have a bev air, model dd94. Several years old now but has always done a great job. We also ran into issues with it being loud, but after ordering a new motor, cost us 100 or so, it now runs and you can hardly tell. Great unit. I had a chest freezer conversion before stepping up to this beast. If you are looking to get one I would either build one or go with a higher end unit. The others lower end units are a waste because you end up replacing or modding almost everything anyway.

Talking Oooops

I have a True TDD3 which may be a tad bit out of your price range but absolutely think it was worth every drop I mean penny!

Well I bought the BM23 and as THE HAMMER stated its worth every penny. No foam no warm beer just great. If I have lost 6oz out of 2 1/4 barrels to foam I would would say that would be a lot. I did get the unit from Micro Matic. I don't remember the mans name I talked to but he was great. Living just south of Milw and Micro Matics wholesaler in northern Ill. we arranged for me to go and pick the unit up and I saved the shipping cost. Thanks Micro Matic.

I have a Bev-Air DD68. It is loud, and we've done some work with acoustic dampening foam to try to quiet it down. Not much improvement.

Ours is a few years old and is also not very energy efficient either.

"Cool Factor" is very high on the scale however

1 tablespoon of bleach per gallon of cold tap water will go a long way to removing the smells like crap from most surfaces.
