using a glycol cooled tower w/o glycol
I'm replacing an old under counter refrigerator with a new U-line refrigerator. My old system had the tower mounted in the counter directly above the refrigerator with the lines wrapped in foam insulation. I never had any problems w/ beer temp or freshness.
I would like to purchase one of the European style towers, however all appear to be glycol-cooled. Given that the distance between the faucet and the refrigerator is very short, can I successfully use one of these European towers and just insulate the lines as I did previously? I prefer not to invest in all the glycol pumps etc for such a short run if this isn't needed.
