Default True GDM-23 conversion ?'s

Hey all- Great info here.

I've recently been given a fabulous commercial fridge, but it's an upright model.

Would like to do the conversion but need to know if I can drill in the side of this unit. I believe these are made differently than residential units and don't have the coils in the walls, but have the evap unit on top. Anyone confirm this?

Do you think I still need a blower to cool the tower and few feet of lines, or is the fridge internal fan enough? I'm guessing I still need the blower.

Thanks in advance!

You won't need a blower to cool the tower because you won't need a tower on this. You will likely go through the side with your tap. Now if the side is clear of refrigerant lines I know not.

The only coolant lines are to the unit on top with the fan. If you are just putting in a shank and facuet on the out side no fan will be needed but if you are running any distance to a tower then use a blower.
