Default Just a ? for all.

Has anyone ever considered installing a wort cooler just before the shank to cool the draft coming out of the tap? The research I did at my local shop shows that I can get a clean draw at around 27 degrees out of the tap while maintaining the internal keg temp between 34-36. I might try it on the secondary tap I plan on installing on my new freezer which will hold both a 16 gallon of Mich Ultra and a Pony of 90 Shilling.

Just some experimention. Any one have any thoughts or experience?

I installed a system for a bar that had a hard time holding the walk in cooler at 36-38 degrees, and he wanted to server an ice cold beer. Run was 22plus feet throught a hot kitchen, glycol cooled lines to a chiller behind wall and taps where on the other side.Used beer pumps to move the beer, ran them with regulated air pressure from a compressor, temp of beer in room temp glass was 29 degrees , Bar ower was very happy, sells lots of tap beer.
