Default secure tower on chest kegerator/Drip drain question

I bought a used chest freezer turned into a kegerator. It has a tower type faucet on it and the tower is very wobbly on top of the lid of the freezer. Is there any good way to secure it? Right now it is only attached using some screws maybe 1/2 inch long into the top of the lid.

2nd I want to install a drip drain, is there anything special I need to be concerned about such as sealing the hole that i make for it? I want to make sure that the cold air doesnt escape so the beer doesnt get warm.

Thanks

Depending on how the unit is built, I'd venture it would be stronger to lengthen the screws so that they penetrate the inner wall as well and stiffen the installation with a plate on the inside. In other words sandwich inner and outer walls with the flange on the tower and the plate on the inside. You may also want to add a sleeve between the two parts to keep the inner and outer walls from compressing together like the spacer on a faucet shank would.

Just use a regular surface mount drip tray and silicone it to the top of the freezer door. I know of a few freezers that have been converted for this and they work well. I even know of 1 bar that has 6 1/6 bbls in one used as a remote system he built himself. It is 30 ft from a under counter box and it works great.
