Transporting beer from a keg
Hi all,
Just wondering if it's a "faux pas" to bottle beer from our kegerator and bring it along with us to a party. We don't host very many socials and I'd like to continue saving money by drinking beer from the kegs that I buy... no matter where I am.
Cheers

Consumed within a reasonable time I'd imagine no problem from this. Just remember that because keg beer is typically unpasteurized, it will not keep too long this way so only bottle up what you plan to consume wherever you intend to take it.

We will most likely bottle only what we plan on drinking for that night (12 or so)...
Thanks

I do it with my homebrew! I use growlers (from a brewpub) to take it with me, it's easier to bottle that way. If you do need to do it 12 oz. bottles than you can buy a short piece of hose that fits in the tap/faucet to fill the bottles. Turn the pressure down to 3 or 4, bleed the keg of excess pressure. Prechill the bottles and then fill and cap.
