This may be a dumb question- but is it better to use a freezer or refrigerator as a kegerator? (Domestic beers only) I know 36-38 degrees is at the lower end of a refrigerator's cooling capability, but why buy a temperature regulator for $100 to keep a freezer at the same temp?
Is the regulator just for people that own a freezer instead of refrigerator and want to do a conversion?
I thought about the same question and decided to go with a fridge mainly because setting a 165 lb keg into a freezer without help could be somewhat of a challenge.
On a side note thanks to dudes @ Micro Matic.I had earlier ordered a kegerator kit from their competition and after getting jerked around for 2 weeks I cancelled the order and went to MM. Ordered it late on Tuesday and it was shipped Wednesday...Received it Thursday![8D]
I'm the same way when I ordered a two stage regulator. I never ordered from MM before, never heard of them until I joined the forum.Glad I did, fast shipping, good tech support and good products.
