  • Replacing c-motor fan in Perlick 8184B kegerator

I have an older Perlick Kegerator where the internal fan is making noise. I wanted to see if there was an easy fix to get rid of the noise. Can I somehow bypass using the c motor fan and add a new computer fan type into the area? Is there a tutorial on how to do something like this? I look at pulling the c-motor fan out and clean it up but it was not simple to pull it out. My next option was to just to cut the power to it and replace it another fan source if possible. I would love suggestions, i guess the other option would be to hire someone to replace it all together but I was hoping to cut costs.

Hey kinda late to the party I am! So did you ever sort this out? If so what did you do? I have the same unit the same problem... motor bearings are shot... so looking for the exact replacement motor... may or may not be out there... computer fan was my thought as well, got plenty of those and they are free so....

Hope ya got it working, these old units are work horses...

    thx!
