Default Ball Lifter Tool and flusher question.

I Just got the 2S2-007 Dual flusher no ball lifter and the FT85-117 Ball lifter-Cleaning Tool.
I thought that I need the ball lifter to lift the check ball in the coupler to allow the cleaning solution to run in the reverse direction through the coupler.
1) Am I correct?
2) I cant figure out how to use the ball lifter in conjunction with the flusher. It does not seem to fit. The only thing I can think of is removing the beer line and then inserting the lifter through the ball retainer and then screwing the beer line back onto the coupler. Is this correct? If not how to I use it?
Thank you

Edit -I should have posted this in - Trouble Shooting & Beer Quality - Mod pleas move

The ball lifter does not work in conjunction with the double flusher you have. Best practice would be to place a metal rod inside the device to keep either ball from seating.

It would have to be a certain diameter not to restrict flow and the right length so that either ball would not bottom out based on the direction you are cleaning. Possibly try cutting a coat hanger and experiment with the length before using long term.

Scott,
Thanks for the quick reply. I was able to work out a good solution. I will post a photo later.
I also got the 300plus line cleaner that you demoed in class back in march. It worked and circulated the lever changed the flow from a drip to decent, but the pressure gauge did not read anything past 0 psi. Did I do something wrong?
Next question. I got a 5lb co2 tank fromvyou and had it filled. It was very cold after filling and there was frost on it. 3 hours later it was the same way 3 hours later. I opens the valve a bit and no gas came out. Do you think the problem is the tank or the fill?
Thanks
Greg

If you're dealing with a standard MM 'D' or 'S' System coupler, just pop the ball and retainer out with a bic pen, clean, flush, and re-install!
