Lightbulb Who has laws & who doesn't

I own a buisness in North Dakota where we have no health codes for beer line cleanliness of anykind. I've discussed this matter with local health inspectors and they say there's nothing growng that can cause deathly effects. I was wondering what city or state laws if any are out there. If there are what are they designed to keep out of the lines?

You should talk to your beer distributor, the most keg beer is on pasturized an so the yeast will keep growing if not keep cold, then it affects the flavor and sight of the product. Brewery recommendations for cleaning will very from 1-3 weeks. The only law that I have heard in Minn. is it has to be kept clean and sanitary, so routine cleaning keeps beer tasting great and this help sell more beer.

PA., once every 7 days, by law. Real specific about the 7 day thing. If you are due on Wed. and don't make it till Thurs., you must write Wed.'s date. Tapman

Not really. I have been doing it 24 years and it was law before I started. I do know that the records and sometimes the taps are checked by the Liquor Control Enforcement and the health department. Tapman

Australia does not have any laws as such, However it is in my hotel's best interest to upkeep our systems for quality product and customer satisfaction.

I have to say over 80% of the restaurants I talk to in NYC do not have a professional line cleaner. I try to tell them that the beer tastes bad without cleaning the lines, but they don't care. Sometimes they say the lines are cleaned, and then I found out they have never been cleaned since installation. I don't understand why it is not mandated in the heath codes. Honestly, I have seen some really nasty stuff, and wish that the health department would crack down on it.

    Default Line Cleaning Laws

Here in Illinois, lines must be cleaned every 2 weeks. And on the off week, its the owners responsibility to swab out the faucets . Proper documentation is required. Receipts and/or a cleaning chart required to be on the premisis. Cya, Brian at KC Draft.

I know I'm responding to an old thread, but in case anybody cares, MA has similar laws. Every 2 weeks.
