Default Hand pump/tower combo feasible?

Hello there, I've been searching the web for an answer to this question for some time and finally decided that I'd ask here... I'm surprised that I haven't found anything elsewhere about this...

I'm in the process of building a bar and wanted a very economical solution to be able to build a beer tower into the surface of the bar. I sure like dreaming about the nice CO2 systems we could have but that idea is simply too expensive for our budget right now. SO, the question is: Is it possible to have a beer tower connected to a party pump, and what would it take? Towers obviously come with the hex nut connections meant for couplers and the outlets on party pumps just have hose slid over a valve outlet, so is there any easy and conceivable way to hack together something to connect the two? And if so, is there any reason I'm missing why it wouldn't work?

Oh, and things such as freshness aren't a concern, the kegs always get finished in one night.
