Scott is correct, if the shank has a bent tube welded to the back it needs to be re-welded or replaced. If the line connects to a 90 degree tube that goes into the center of the shank then you have a compression fitting. Inside the shank is an 'O' ring that usually gets crushed and out of round. Was that one of the rings you replaced? I only purchase the welded shanks for just that reason. Less trouble over the long run, and my fingers don't fit inside those little tubes anyway!
