I run beer from serving tanks to 3 different locations without using pumps and have no problems. The bars are on two levels, one the same as the tank (1 tower), and the other one floor up(2 towers). In my opinion, I would avoid using pumps if you don't need them, just because of maintenance. The only time I can see that they would be needed is if the restriction at one of your towers was more than your pressure setting. As long as your system is properly balanced at each spot, it should work fine. Hope this helps.
