The premium kit has a drip tray that has a hole for the shank and a cleaning kit. The cleaning kit should suffice for your use. Direct draw systems at retail are cleaned every two weeks. If you allow the maintenance to slip, you will know by taste.
This
thermometer will read the liquid temperature all the time. Mount it out of the way so it does not get beat up by the keg. Calibrate it prior to installing. Fill small bucket or pot with ice and then pour in water. Dump additional ice in to acquire a consistent ice bath. Place device in bath and if it does not read 32F, while holding dial, turn nut on back until pointer reads 32F.
