You are right though, he definately shouldn't buy a 1/2 of an IPA/DIPA if he doesn't like any citrus flavor before trying it, but an IPA would be a much better choice then lets say franziskaner. |
I guess I'm speaking from my personal experience, I just finished a 1/2 barrel of Founders Dirty Bastard scotch ale, which is 8.5%, and it was tough to get through. I suppose it's not just abv, but also the type of beer. Dirty Bastard was too rich to drink a few of. An 8% IPA I could drink pretty easily.
