Default no pressure

I have had my kegerator for a few years and it has worked OK. I just got a keg of Harp (which I have had in the past). I have the correct tap and just got my CO2 canister filled. My problem; no pressure.

I did the following with the new keg;

1.) attached the tap to the lines, one for the beer, one for the CO2.

2.) tapped the keg ( I got some beer up the line)

3.) Turned on the CO2, set the pressure to about 12, opened the valve on the CO2 line.

4.) Waited for about 4 hours to pull a cold one, but I seemed to have very little pressure, I did try cranking up the pressure, but that had no effect.

5.) I was able to get a pitcher to fill with lots of head, I am guessing the reason is because of the little pressure from the keg.

6.) I have repeated the steps above 2-3 times and no luck each time.

Thoughts/comments/suggestions???? I have a cold keg waiting, but not able to get to it. Thanks!!!
