...try to fix something thats not broken. The lines to the cooling plate will flex and possibly break if you don't keep it mounted. Just defrost it when you change kegs, or as needed. I think someone posted that they directed a fan across theirs, and it reduced frost build up. Maybe spacers could be used to keep it further from the wall. But again, if it's not broke....
