Question extending my beer hose

I think i have read enough and have an decent idea on how to do this.
Seems straight forward, please let me know if i am wrong.
Cut hose from keg coupler side, stick one end of a splicer in the side to runs to the faucet, clamp down. Attach new piece to splicer, clamp. New piece has a connector to the coupler. Test flow at pressure you want to run, in my case miiler lite , so roughly 14psi for 38*. If too slow, loose at splicer and cut 4 inches and try again.
