i used to have the same problem until i doubled the length of my hose. i added about 4 ft from the coupler to tower line and it the foam problem was fixed in the first glass. the only things i have done to my system are extending the hose and adding some egg-crete foam to the inside of the tower to keep the temps down. both seem to have fixed my problem.
oh and i have also flipped the little fan inside the unit around because i noticed that they installed it backwards.
