RV keg system
I live in my 5th wheel toyhauler fulltime. Since I have a garage and love good beer, it seemed natural to build a keg cooler in the garage. I'm currently using the upright party keg CO2 dispenser purchased from MM and ice. I presently have two issues.
First, as mentioned elsewhere on this forum, the upright mast setup is unsuitable for nursing a half barrel several weeks. I like the simplicity, ease of cleaning and breakdown, but it doesn't pour well. Would a longer beer line solve the foaming problems? 3/16 or 1/4? I welcome any suggestions for a compact system that will keep the beer long term and pour well.
Second, is ice consumption in the heat. Has anyone installed a kegerator kit in a propane refrigerator? I only have 120V in RV parks or running a generator. Since I dry camp so much, propane refrigeration seems the solution.
Ideally, this could be a self-contained unit. Bolt on a propane tank, a CO2 tank and enjoy perfect beer anywhere. I'm surprised MM doesn't sell one.
Thanks, Mark
