Default new to this, but determined

Okay I've been reading and reading here for several months now, and I feel like I'm ready to try my first keg.

Here is the twist: I'm going to go on a road trip with my keg before I tap it. I have built a homemade keg/icebox out of two trash cans. One is smaller and is inside the larger outer trash can. In between the two is about 2.5 inches of Great Stuff foam. My plan is to put a sixth barrel of Boulevard Wheat or Blue Moon in it with ice and drive 9 hours to my "camping" site. How cold will a suspended sixth barrel get in icey water? Will the beer get cold enough? Will it get too cold possibly? How long should I let the keg settle after the long drive?

I'm using a paintball tank for co2, and have purchased all my hardware from MM. I have a low profile coupler. I know that I will have to adjust my line length for good pours.

Thanks for reading this. Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated. Has anyone tried a setup like this? Is it stupid?
