I bought the DKC645 at SamsClub and it also had the digital thermostat. It had the same problem, would not get the temp down below 44 degrees. I checked it with 3 thermometers, putting them in a cup of water for a day and then checking the temp. I also poured beer in a cup and checked the temp with an instant thermometer and the temp was around 50 degrees. This was not acceptable. I called the company

The company told me that they were having sporadic problems and were testing 50 units with results on 8/8/05. She sent me a new sensor but not before I was fed up and returned the unit to Sams Club. Now I am shopping for a new unit. I really liked the Danby except for the warm beer. I am considering the Haier or Sanyo, anyone have any suggestions.
