Yes, the longer line will slow down the pour allowing you to increase the pressure for co2 retention in the keg. I would rather try the whole thing and shorten it as needed, but I doubt you'll need the entire 10'. I recently switched from the supplied 5' to 7' and I think my co2 level throughout the keg and my dispense foam level is better. I'll probably go 8' at some point just to see if it's even better. For reference, I run 14-16 psi at 36-38 degrees for 'normal' beers with good results except at the end of the keg which probably indicates I need to drop the pressure a tad.
